located in the heart of downtown Honolulu, Black Cat Tattoo is an artist driven tattoo studio and gallery built around creativity, craftsmanship, and growth.

we believe tattooing is more than decoration. It is storytelling through design. Artistic expression through human connection.

Black Cat was created for people who value originality, artistic integrity, and high level custom tattoo work. Our studio is focused on creating tattoos that are thoughtfully designed, whether in American traditional, black and grey, or color realism, contemporary Japanese or Polynesian styles, illustrative anime pieces, or other large scale custom compositions.

But the culture inside the shop matters just as much as the tattoos coming out of it

we’ve built an environment where artists continue learning, painting, drawing, studying, and pushing their craft forward. We believe to be the best version of ourselves in tattooing we must never stop being a student of art. That philosophy shapes everything we do, from the atmosphere in the studio to the experience and art we create for our clients.
