Richie Lucero
Born and raised in Honolulu, Richie Lucero has been tattooing since 2003. His work is rooted in contemporary Japanese influenced tattooing, while his broader practice includes black and grey, color realism, illustrative work, anime, and stippling.
A lifelong student of art, Richie also works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, and airbrush. He believes practicing other artistic mediums will only strengthen his understanding of composition, movement, lighting, and storytelling he can bring to every tattoo.
As owner of Black Cat Tattoo, Richie is committed to thoughtful collaboration with clients and to building an artistic environment centered on craftsmanship, growth, and love for the work.
